The Rest of the World Gets It

Australian PM says US Congress vote on Iraq aids Al-Qaeda When will Congress put domestic politics below national interest?

Does anyone honestly believe that the political theater in Washington does not give hope to those who wish to kill or maim our soldiers?

We don't have to look to Australia for fear mongers. Giuliani does it for us right here in the US!

Let's make is simple, so even people who like Olberman can understand. Answer the guys question - perhaps another way: Do you think that what the democrats in congress are doing (especially when they know it will be vetoed)is something that makes the people who are trying to blow up our soldiers as well as innocent Iraqis happy or sad, frightened or emboldened? See if you can answer that question before adding blather about fearmongering.

I think the poor planning and execution of the war by this incompetent administration is what has 'emboldened' 'these people.' And 'these people' are now killing each other without much regard for our presence.

This crap about Democrats sending a bad message to the troops and 'emboldening' is just that-Fox News crap and totally irrelevant. And you know that.

In 1993, current House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) voted numerous times to limit the deployment of troops in Somalia, including one bill that set a six-month timeline for the withdrawal of U.S. forces.

Like several other war supporters who once backed timelines, John Boehner now attacks those who favor redeploying U.S. troops out of Iraq’s civil war as “defeatists” who want a “date certain for surrender.”

But Boehner has taken this hypocrisy to a new level. Despite clamoring for a withdrawal from Somalia in 1993, he had the temerity to charge yesterday that war critics were “walk[ing] out” on Iraq “just like we did in Somalia.”

Boehner's a jerk. So is Reid.
