Is it just me, or does it seem curious that in a four day convention, more was said about Kerry's four months in Viet Nam than about his 30 years in the Senate?

Yes Dan, I think it is just you.

I guess you didn't watch the DNC with Kerry's shipmates did you? The only military I've heard of that had negative things to say about Kerry were the brass suck ups. Talk to the men!

Would you let your son or daughter die in Iraq for Bush?

Lets' see if you can guess which politician said the follwing:

"I shall give a propaganda reason for starting the war. Never mind whether it is plausible or not. The victor will not be asked afterward whether he told the truth or not. In starting and waging a war it is not Right that matters, but victory."

Have you ever experienced the loss of a friend or family member as a casualty to war or attended a funeral? I think perhaps you might be a bit of a insulated member of society. With all your zealousness, have you considered enlisting. I don't know how old you are but I don't think they will reject anyone these days. I served during the vietnam conflict, did you?

Actually, it appears that it isn't as more people are talking about how little Mr. Kerry is talking about his record. He is trying to feign to the right to appeal to the mainstream yet his record belies his effort.

My guess is that those words were spoken by A) Kerry as he voted for the war, after reading even less of the intel reports than President Bush read or B) Adolph Hitler.

By the way, I believe you have proven Godwin's Law.

The Viet Nam War ended (by Nixon, not his two Dem predecessors, I might add) before I reached the age of majority.

When Carter (in the midst of bolloxing things up in the Middle East, while simultaneously destroying much of our ability to conduct covert intelligence operations - (read Ray Cline), reacting to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, reactivated Selective Service registration, I signed up within days.

I have had family members serve and be wounded, but not die. I grieve each soldier who loses a life or a limb.

Normandy was one of the greatest tragedies of the last century. So many gallant men lost their lives. Each life had value and meaning apart from that bloody day. Their sacrafice made the world a better place, as has the valiant soldiers who have lost their lives in Iraq.
